Feeling Inspired…

A couple weeks back i had the amazing opportunity to attend a peace studies talk on campus from Dr. Bernard Lafayette Jr. Who is a longtime civil rights activist and was a leader in the civil rights movement. He also worked closely with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It was a fantastic talk; he spoke about some of his experiences of being a young man during those times, the freedom riders, the peaceful protests, the day he found out Martin Luther King was killed. He spoke real truth! If it weren’t for God & people like them, i probably would not be at university & may not even be alive today.

I am truly grateful.
